In the lab, we use manikins (yes, it is spelled correctly) to practice skills. Today we gave a bedbath, changed linens, used bedpans, practiced getting patients out of bed, and learned how to use various restraints. I saw a lot of plastic perineums.
I anticipate posting pictures of the manikins when I have nothing better, because I find them hilarious.

Question: Out of all the facial expressions to choose from, why did the manufacturer select "abject horror"?

Two posts in and I'm hooked.

This is the best decision you've ever made. The blog, I mean, not going to nursing school.

Fantastic idea . . .I did notice a lot of male looking manikins with breasts myself . . . looking forward to future additions.

Love it... but I am wondering if the "bar" will be a part of the blog too... you know, the one that is directly off the Purple line? ;)

My question would be, why is the left half of his/her face rolling on ecstasy, and the right side of his/her face staring into the light of God? This is really a provocative modern art installation. I like where you're going with it...

The good thing about having seen this picture is that I no longer fear death.

Good luck, man. You're going to look great in one of those white hat-things held in place with hairpins.
